LocoLanding is very proud to be apart of the Penticton community. Our hope is that we can give to the community as much as you have given to our family, our staff, and our business.
We are involved in a number of charity events and volunteer activities throughout the year including:
- Feed the Valley: We work with Valley First to host an annual Feed the Valley event to drive donations for our local food bank. The event is held on Father’s Day each year.
- Tourism Penticton: My dad, Adolf Steffen, volunteers on the board of the Tourism Advisory Council. They work hard to not only promote Penticton to other communities but to make sure that when visitors come to Penticton they are welcomed with open arms.
- Dragon’s Den: I volunteer as a Dragon for the local Dragon’s Den competition for high school students. Facilitated through the Okanagan College, competitors present their business plans over 3 judging sessions throughout the Spring.
- Miss Penticton: We are proud to be in our third year of sponsoring Miss Penticton. This year our own Nikita Alfonso is running and we wish her the best of luck. Miss Penticton is crowned during Peachfest, the largest free festival in Western Canada
- SPCA: Through our “Feed the Fish” program we raise over $1500 for the local SPCA each year.
